SOUS LA TERRE – Carmenere


Sous La Terre 2019, a testament to the enduring legacy of our family vineyard planted in 1996, unfolds across 8 ungrafted hectares, thriving on high density and embracing the principles of dry farming, forgoing irrigation. Our commitment to sustainability led us from organic cultivation to full Biodynamic practices, earning DEMETER certification in 2012 for both vineyard and winery activities. Proudly pesticide-free, our viticulture and winemaking unfold in absolute harmony with nature.

SOUS LA TERRE 2019, a Red Wine masterpiece, emerges from small clay amphoras, boasting a blend of six varieties meticulously coplanted and cofermented: 90% Carménère, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot, 1.5% Lacrima Cristi, 0.5% Viognier, and 1% Malbec. The skin maceration extends for around 8 months, and fermentation gracefully concludes near Christmas, marked by unusually low temperatures.

Bottled in May 2020, limited to 899 bottles, Sous La Terre 2019 is a testament to our unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and natural winemaking. All our wines undergo natural clarification, eschewing fining or filtration, potentially resulting in a natural sediment, enhancing the wine’s authenticity. To fully appreciate Sous La Terre 2019, we recommend decanting whenever possible and serving at a temperature between 57-61 ºF.
